A very wise Native American Spirit Guide named Medicine Woman once told me; “Nothing ever done in love is either small or forgotten in eternity.”

Today let us look at love and eternity. New York papers were covered with stories of numerous shootings and murder this past week. In one case a “Baby-faced Carvett Gentles, 16” was accused of pulling the trigger that placed Vada Vasquez on a respirator in the fight of her young life. This story was followed by Alyssa Bustamante 15 of Missouri being arrested for reportedly murdering 9 year old Elizabeth Olten by strangulation, stabbing and slitting the child’s throat because she “wanted to know what it felt like” it was reported in the New York Post.

It was also reported that Mayor Bloomberg stated after spending fifteen minutes, yeah a big 15 minutes with Rev. Al Sharpton and community leaders; “Kids think it is fashionable to carry a gun. There’s got to be somebody-some way- we can reach them.”

First of all; fashionable; talk about not having a clue. The problem, root problem on an individual basis within each of us is a disconnect with our Creator. The root of the problem for society over all is what I call the ‘Lucky Charm Syndrome of Religion.”

Ask anyone of the above accused about where God is in their life? Ask their parents? The result of this failure to develop a real relationship or for the Lucky Charm Syndrome Group which is the majority of our society today grows and morphs into evils that come back to us

Today’s blog is not only about these two kids but the disintegration of our nation and world.

If you think I’m kidding sit on any New York City bus or train and look around. People are texting with one hand while listening to mind melting screaming (called music) which can be heard twenty feet from them. The profanity itself is defended by pundits as a form of “expressing oneself.”

Or better still stand on the corner and watch as the light turns green. Horns blast since there’s a rush to get to the next red light! If you are in the board walk you are screamed at, given the finger and at worse they swerve the car into you. Listen to people scream “Back door!” to the bus driver and I guess the word please does not exist. Neighbors blast music, slam crap on floor at 3 AM and just do not care. During Mass cell phones go off and idiots actually hold conversations! Our new ‘gods’ are Dr. Phil and the pharmaceutical companies. Look at the video games you are allowing your children to watch then check out the talking heads on evening news stations to see the latest Predator ‘kill’ in Pakistan all of which is desensitizing to the point that killing, murder or even gang rape becomes either a game on a computer or normality so long as it doesn’t happen to you.

The problem is within, not without. More laws by politicians looking for 15 minutes of air time won’t solve the epidemic; nor will drugs or medications make the problems go away. Creation manifests internally and is projected outward; not the other way around. Let me expand this concept by taking quotes from two of my books:

“Go ahead,” Jim told the EMT who yelled to his partner who was driving. Slowly

the ambulance maneuvered through the sea of crushed, dying, dead humanity

heading to a trauma hospital several miles away as the bleeding subsided.

He found her in the Healing Room meditating. Quietly he sat down

praying for her.

“How come Jim? Why were they allowed to have weapons? Why did they do it?”

Before he could answer he knew there was more so he waited. Finally turning to

him, her gorgeous green eyes on the verge of tears, she chokingly asked,

“Why?” between the sobs, “I don’t believe this crap the ‘expert’ psychologists,FBI profilers, have been saying on TV.”

He slid over putting his arm around her. For the first time since the incident nearly a week before broke down body convulsing, crying as she had never cried before. For the first time in her life she was crying not only for the victims, and the shooters, but for humanity itself and he knew it.

Later, much later after the tears subsided he held her slowly rocking.

“First, weapons were not the problem. Concerning the ‘experts’ these are the same blind fools who screamed for the Brady Bill, and more laws to be in acted after Columbine. I said in the beginning, the weapons were never the problem.

The problem was people as much as dysfunctional pundits this society has created.”

Slowly Alicia lifted her head from the safety of his chest looking at him.

“From the beginning I said it was a case of these individuals feeling separated, not part of the whole.”

“But you saw how they were dressed Jim. They wanted to be different.”

“No, “he said gently wiping her eye. “There is a difference between our uniqueness, and being separate. They dressed one way to get attention but to also bond with each other. They could readily identify with the outer appearances because they knew nothing of their inner workings.”

“Rickie was an alter boy,” she whispered having read the newspaper.

“Just shows you how ‘religions’ have failed. Like Jung said religions are a defense against the experience of God. Same difference as the Palestinian suicide bombers who kill in the name of God yet have never experienced the Creator in a personal, knowing way. If they had they would realize they, as all were created from eternal love because of love, nothing less. Once realized how could they kill another?”

“ I feel so bad, so very bad, not just for them,” in a faltering voice,” the victims and those boys, but for this world. It’s going insane.” Now the tears started again,

“I just, my heart, it hurts so bad for this crazy world.”

“Welcome to the club little one, you just graduated.”

Alicia looked up. “Has this happened to you?”

“Yeah, in Bosnia. That was when I really felt my heart bleeding for humanity. One night as I lay under several blankets artillery rounds were falling on the city. As Enya hauntingly sang The Celts on a CD we had I finally realized what Jesus felt for humanity and I cried.”

“This reminds me of what you taught me concerning the Hopi Nations belief that we were a civilization with our heads separated from our bodies, thus our hearts, and mother earth,” she whispered reverently.

“Indeed. I had sent in a letter to one of the psychological magazines saying the problem was the identification with the body, not the spirit.”

“Did they print it?”

“No,” he said solemnly.

“Some surprise there.”

“It wasn’t until the Secret Service report in May 2002 did it confirm my theory on separation. As long as we continue to see ourselves as physical beings, thinking with our separated heads, we will continue to feed the egos belief in separation.

Once we return to our innate knowledge as spiritual beings we will recognize the uniqueness of each person but never question the identification with whole, the Creator.” He paused rubbing her shoulder, “I’m really proud of the way you didn't hesitate in treating the sheriff. To be honest I’m not sure I would have.”

Shooting him a glance of confusion he said, “Well we are all here to experience and I’m working on getting to where Jesus was in forgiveness and turning the cheek without punching someone out.”

“Jim does the pain ever stop?”

He reached up placing his hand over her heart, their hand interlocked.

“No, it only gets worse the more you see, the more you know, the more you love,

and the deeper it hurts.”

The next lesson learned is if “Only love is real,” a quote attributed to Jesus reportedly told to a Jewish patient of Brian Weiss M.D. from the book of the same name then everything else is an illusion.

If we believe God is indeed ‘Love and everywhere’ then no matter how painful an event… it happens with the loving allowance of a Loving God for our and others greater benefit; the universe is not in chaos. Next; if God is everywhere, then He must also be in hell which I believe is self induced by our choice of insanity over love, remember free will? Finally following this tenet to its conclusion if God is everywhere, then He must be in everyone, no matter religion, or physical stature.

To reiterate, “There was a question asked of Our Lady in October 1981 which was: Are all religions the same? Our Lady answered: ‘Members of all faiths are equal before God. God rules over each faith just like a sovereign over his kingdom. In the world, all religions are not the same because all people have not complied with the commandments of God. Where the failure takes place it is in the hypocrisy of religion by fostering separation and focusing on corporal gains, remember the ‘lucky charm syndrome’ or as two Mormon missionaries told me; “If you aren’t part of the elect (Here they quoted some number from the bible) you won’t be saved.” That was interesting so I tagged them along for several minutes then asked how many Mormons there are. Well they proudly gave a number until I explained I’m not the brightest in math but the number given is greater than the numbers to be saved Duh! This elitism; ‘all or nothing’ mentality is one of the primary reasons I stayed away from the Catholic Church for so long. A prime example of this was reported in the Press that Pope Benedict XVI’s prayer for terrorists was to ‘become Christians’.

Yes, that would be great but not everyone is called to be a Christian. To reiterate Mom has never said “non-Christian go automatically to hell,” but instead; ‘all are equal before God.’ Thus I have no doubt there are Muslims, Jews and every other religious belief in heaven. It is their heart, not lucky charm union card (religion) that God examines. We can argue that in the case of Islam it has been spread through bloodshed, but hello, remember the idiotic Crusades? Or better still ask Native Americans. As I see it the Christian goes to a church, the Jew to a temple, a Muslim to a mosque then after praying to God; the God of love; the God who created the universe and yet still knows us not only by name but intimately, after praying to this GOD they cut each other off in the parking lot! Thus I would be less concerned about scoring points for Catholicism by making public statements that hurt and divide instead of living the message of Christ in one’s own heart. If others are called, it is God not us who does the calling. We are but the reflection, instruments of His love if we are centered. In the end it was reported Pope Benedict XVI prayed a generic heart felt prayer for the terrorists. This also brings me to the next point which the Holy Father and I both agree; namely the failure to fully comprehend what is taking place at Mass as the root core of problems in our individual lives, society and world.

A recent survey conducted by Georgetown University found that 68 percent of Americans believe they “Can remain in good standing with the church without regularly attending Mass.” Who the hell cares about remaining in “good standing with the church” when you are totally missing the point of what takes place upon the Alter of Immortality! Here bread and wine is supernaturally turned by God, not priest, but God; for you and me into Cardiac tissue and Precious Blood of His beloved Son. How the hell can any believing Catholic survive while only receiving at Christmas or Easter; talk about a killing Lucky Charm Syndrome? I think it attests to our spiritual ignorance when 57, 0000 will fill Yankee Stadium, countless more line the streets or watch a man, Pope Benedict XVI while Churches are closing because of a decline in attendance. I read another source that only 36% believe it is indeed the Body and Blood of Christ. Hello, is it me or are we missing something here in our daily lives?

During the Pontiff’s visit the entertaining Press was screaming about making him a “Rock Star,” thus turning Catholicism into a circus. The sadder note was not one priest who served as a “media consultant” voiced even concern; forget outrage or even attempted to refocus the ‘entertaining press’ onto the true Prince of Peace; the Eucharist. If we are not partaking the greatest gift given to humanity since Jesus Christ walked the earth how can we think we are living His message and don’t give me that crap about “But I’m a good person.”

If we don’t experience the Eucharist as Christians how then are we to know Jesus? If we don’t know Him then how can we give His love to others? The fact is we can’t and the proof of this spiritual bankruptcy can be found in our society and nations physical health. People, society spends billions on carbon foot prints and other external environmental abuses without spending appropriate time to visit and clean the toxic polluted world within each of us. Spiritual awareness and reality are ignored until one is dying, getting ready for a job interview, exam or when our homes are lost to a flood that we call on God demanding and expecting Him to answer us. We refuse to recognize that our toxic internal spiritual self is projected into the physical world thus seldom perceive that we have materialized the very crises we are calling upon God to save us from. Hey as demonstrated I’ve been there done it, have the scars and t-shirt to show for the experience! In short in America today there is a divide between the spiritual and physical reality that is blinding us from recognizing that on the local level; increased drug use, crimes, anxieties, divorces, diseases on the national level pathological greed by Corporate America that owns Congress and a Presidency that believes in blissful arrogance it is above the law all are manifested and start by our individual spiritual disconnect. Thus unable to recognize this divide we open the door to the insane beliefs of psychologists, psychiatry and guru pill pushers that the reason Johnnie kills is because it’s in his genetic makeup. Blame God, blame anyone else but don’t take responsibility. Thus how are we as a nation to recognize that the outlandish storms of nature as well as our sons and daughters dying in foreign lands sent there by an inept, bought Congress and lying President are a direct result from our spiritual bankruptcy on an individual basis? Remember our leadership is a reflection of us and as I’ve always said; no nation could ever go to war if war was not in the hearts of its people. We truly reap what we sow but like me we seldom recognize the cause and effect preferring to play the ‘victim’ role. This keeps the ego pundits and pill gurus in business reinforcing plausible denial on our part.

Read about the ‘Chicago Boys’ and ‘Berkeley Mafia’ all direct morphs from the insanity of American economist Milton Friedman. Then tell me why one American needed to die in Vietnam or Iraq? Why did I lose friends and a cousin on 9/11/’01 and don’t feed me that crap about patriotism because I as the rest of humanity have been betrayed by our government to satisfy the insatiable quest for wealth by Corporate America; all the while hiding under the Constitution while trampling it. A great quote from the book is “We did not know what nobody could deny.” So yes our mindless bliss has allowed us to perfect genocide on others just as what took place against, and still does, Native Americans. One final point; remember the above mentioned ITT? Well on July 2008 when Congress approved a bill insuring if illegal wiretaps were used against Americans the phone companies could not be sued!

Another spark of Divinity whom has graced me on my journey, Hindu guru Anandi Ma has made this correlation.

“Remember that whatever they do spiritually is the root of life. If you water the

roots, then the plant will flourish and there will be fruit. Otherwise, trying to do a

million different things externally, making money, buying things and all this, it’s

like putting water on the leaves but not the roots. The plant will not survive.”

I had one woman tell me; “I’m Christian I wear a cross.” Duh…this is nothing new since even the Jews had the same mentality in1Samuel 4 where they were losing a battle so they called for the Arch of the Covenant. Once it arrived they figured the battle was won. Well they were slaughtered and the Arch of the Covenant was captured! To reiterate, I did the same in Vietnam with the rosary. So much for the Religious Lucky Charm Syndrome! An even sadder individual was a girl who told me, “I’m too busy for God, studying to be a lawyer.” To busy studying something that will pass as opposed to building an eternal relationship of love; eternal; like forever…Duh. Yet this is the same girl who got up early to get a spot to see a mortal man, Pope Benedict pass on Fifth Avenue but can’t find time to go before school and receive God! Thus being called to be a Catholic in this lifetime requires me not to water the leaves by being concerned about my “standing with the church” but putting water on the roots and this is only accomplished by developing a personal relationship with Jesus through receiving at the Table of Immortality.

On December 3, 2001 while meditating I quarried Jesus, “What do you want me to do with my life?” The answer was one, and only one thing; “Love.”

Thus I can only speak from knowing and this comes through experience. If you disagree with what I say fine, give me a better reason and solution to today’s wanton insanity which will only get worse. Listen to The Eve of Destruction it was a classic in the ‘60’s and tell me the world has not gotten worse since then. Tell me there are not more people screaming about “Saving your soul” but do not have a clue who God is. Tell me there are not more medications doctors and food today than in the sixties and we are not sicker. There are more ways to communicate world wide than in all that was developed since the dawn of civilization yet we do not communicate. Tell me we American’s don’t demand freedom yet refuse to take responsibility for our actions.
